  Albert M. Moses (Retired)

Albert Moses was born in Columbia, South Carolina, and graduated from Wofford College with an A.B. Degree. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina Law School and received a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. He practiced largely in the estate planning and probate area after his admission to the Bar. He authored the "South Carolina Probate Practice Manual" published by the Continuing Legal Education Division of the South Carolina Bar and is editor and co-author of the book, Drafting the Durable Power of Attorney, a Systems Approach. Mr. Moses was for many years an adjunct professor of law at the University of South Carolina School of Law, teaching estate planning. He lectured on the law of Wills and Trusts for the South Carolina Bar Review for about 15 years. The South Carolina Supreme Court appointed him to serve as a member of the five-person Specialization Advisory Committee on Estate Planning and Probate. Mr. Moses lectured frequently at South Carolina Bar continuing legal education seminars. He lectured at and moderated continuing judicial education seminars for the probate judges of South Carolina. A founder of the firm that bears his name, Mr. Moses has fully retired from the practice of law.
