The Defense of Administrative Prosecutions of Professionals and Licenses
For many years we represented various state licensing boards in the prosecution of professional disciplinary matters and appeals. We now use that experience to represent professionals before various state licensing boards in professional disciplinary matters and appeals.
In South Carolina, under the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (SCDLLR or LLR), the Division of Professional and Occupational Licensing (POL) is charged with licensing and regulating the activities of more than 139 professions and occupations from accountants to veterinarians. We’re familiar with the procedures and laws governing administrative disciplinary proceedings and appeals from governing boards’ decisions. We have experience with physicians and health care professionals as well as other professions and occupations. We’ve represented physicians, nurses, real estate appraisers, engineers, and veterinarians.
With licenses and livelihoods on the line, adept, experienced counsel best serves professionals. Protecting a valuable practice built up over years and built on reputation, demands no less. We defend professionals and their valuable practices.
Our attorneys also counsel and help defend attorneys in matters handled by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel before the Commission on Lawyer Conduct.
